St. Celestine School Art Show

Have you heard?
St. Celestine will host an Art Show at the January 28 Open House

Who will be the featured artists?
Our Children!

According to Ms. Donna Vessini, art teacher and curator for the event, each grade level (K-8) was given a specific theme. Various media will be showcased, including pastels, watercolors, colored pencils, and markers. “I think it will be great for the kids to see that art has a purpose beyond the classroom,”  Vessini said.

Parents will view the collection as a whole and then have the opportunity to purchase the children’s art-framed, matted, and ready to go for $25 each.

Event planners Artomé  will facilitate the logistics of framing and gallery set-up. “Mrs. Rocchi knows first-hand of the significance the arts play in the journey of a well-rounded student,”  Vessini said. The event is an “awareness raiser” with regard to the value of creative expression. “I was thrilled to have her consent and constant support, granting the go-ahead, green light!”  she added.

An alumna of St. Celestine, Vessini recalls the simple crafts and projects from her elementary days and how she longed for formal art classes. “I am happy to be a part of the creative evolution here at St. Celestine and look forward to the coming years!”

Unpurchased artwork will be returned to the students unframed.
