Touchdowns in learning! – Our kindergarteners celebrated Football Friday by using a football theme to build math, reading, and art skills-all while rooting for the Chicago Bears in the playoffs! – Students worked together to create a football field down the entire length of the hallway, then practiced counting by 10s to measure how far they could throw the football and compare numbers. They sharpened reading and writing skills by identifying short vowels in football words and “writing the room,” and strengthened math skills by subtracting footballs and creating graphs. What a fun and active way to practice our skills!
