Third Grade Pyramid Study – Year 2023-2024

Students have been focusing on “Mysteries of the Pyramids” for two weeks. We began our unit of study by reading a Scholastic News article that focused on the great pyramids of Ancient Egypt and the mummification process of the various classes in ancient Egypt. We then did a vocabulary study on Ancient Egypt.

We continued our study of the mummification process with mummified dolls while working in small groups. The cumulative experience was working in small groups to build a pyramid collaboratively.
